Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.
Sports Mole

After spending Christmas Day in the bottom half of the Premier League table, Tottenham Hotspur endeavour to atone for recent failings when they travel to Nottingham Forest for a Boxing Day battle.

Ange Postecoglou's men put on a spectacle for the neutrals in Sunday's showdown with Liverpool, but the home crowd left dejected as their side fell to an enthralling 6-3 defeat to the league leaders.

With 17 games gone in the 2024-25 campaign, Spurs are entrenched in the middle of the standings, currently residing in 11th place with an eight-point gap to the Champions League positions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Tricky Trees, who occupy the final spot in the top four thanks to their magnificent start to the campaign.

Guglielmo Vicario

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: March 8 (vs. Bournemouth)

Guglielmo Vicario played with a fractured ankle for an hour against Manchester City last month, but he will not be playing again for a few months after undergoing an operation.

Cristian Romero

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: January 19 (vs. Everton)

On his comeback appearance from a toe problem, Cristian Romero picked up a thigh injury in Spurs' 4-3 loss to Chelsea earlier in December, and the Argentina international is expected to spend six weeks on the treatment table.

Richarlison

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: January 4 (vs. Newcastle United)

Richarlison has not played since the start of November due to a serious hamstring concern, but Postecoglou is hopeful that the Brazilian will be able to return to competitive action within a couple of weeks.

Micky van de Ven

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Micky van de Ven was another casualty of the loss to Chelsea a couple of weeks ago, leaving the field with a fresh hamstring problem, and there is still no official timeframe on his recovery.

Wilson Odobert

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Wilson Odobert is on the mend from his second hamstring injury of the season, one that he had to go under the knife for, and the Frenchman is not expected back until the latter stages of the season.

Mikey Moore

Status: Out
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: Unknown

Mikey Moore has spent a month and a half on the sidelines with an unspecified, serious illness, and even though he is now back in training, he is not being rushed back into action and should sit out the trip to Forest too.

Ben Davies

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 29 (vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers)

The next cab off the rank for Tottenham, Ben Davies hurt his hamstring in the loss to Bournemouth at the start of the month, but there is optimism that he will be available again before the end of 2024. Thursday's game will come too soon, though.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Rodrigo Bentancur served the seventh and final game of his suspension in the loss to Liverpool, meaning that Tottenham have no players banned for the trip to Forest.
