Shaun Phillips has said that the Denver Broncos will be "quite alright" without Von Miller at the start of the 2013 NFL season.
The linebacker has been suspended for the opening six games of the campaign for breaching the league's substance abuse policy.
Miller's teammate told the Broncos' website: "Pressure can either break you or pressure can make diamonds. We're going to continue with the philosophy that pressure is going to make diamonds for us. We'll be quite alright.
"We don't have to do more because Von's not here. We just have to do what we do. Me, personally, I've been playing football for 10 years. I think I've been successful without Von so far.
"It's a bonus to have a guy like that on the field because he's an amazing player. But you live, you learn. He's going to get better from it and we're going to get better from it."
Miller was the runner-up for the league's defensive player of the year award last season, losing out the Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt.
