Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase has admitted that his side played their "worst game" on offense in their Super Bowl defeat to the Seattle Seahawks.
The Broncos broke the NFL record in the regular season becoming the highest-scoring offense in the history of the game, but mustered only eight points at MetLife Stadium in their crushing loss.
"I made some bad [play] calls," Gase told the Denver Post. "We had too many turnovers [two interceptions, two fumbles].
"We didn't protect Peyton as we should. We played our worst game on offense."
Gase led the Broncos to the record-breaking achievement in his first season as a coordinator.
