Former Fresno State Bulldogs quarterback Derek Carr has revealed that some NFL teams are interested in selecting him and having his brother David serve as his backup next season.
Carr has been touted as one of the best quarterbacks available in the 2014 NFL Draft and feels that he could flourish under the guidance of his older sibling, himself a former first overall pick of the Houston Texans in the 2002 Draft.
"The main reason they like it is because you're going to get a vet who wants to help the rookie, while at the same time, is gonna push me harder than anybody because he wants the best for me," Carr told 957thegame.com.
"There's no division in that locker room because we're both rooting for each other. We're not saying one thing behind each other's back."
The 23-year-old threw for 5,038 yards along with 50 touchdowns to eight interceptions in the 2013 season.
