The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears met at Lambeau Field in a clash between NFC North rivals.
The Packers were coming into the game off a four-game winning streak despite having a plethora of injuries while the Bears were equalling struggling with setbacks but came into the match with a 4-3 record.
On the first drive of the game, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers left the field with an injury which forced him out of the match and that was to be crucial as the Bears took advantage to secure a 27-20 win.

Good morning and welcome to the live commentary of the NFL clash between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears.
The Packers are flying high coming into this game following a four-game win streak, which has lifted them to the top of the NFC North.
Injuries have depleted Mike McCarthy's side but his side still find a way of winning games with quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the controls of his offense, which has destroyed the Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens in the past two weeks.
The rushing of running back Eddie Lacy has given the Packers a major boost this season after selecting him in the second round of the 2013 Draft. He has amassed 446 yards on 112 carries, which puts his average per attempt at exactly four. He also has three touchdowns which has lifted the pressure off Rodgers somewhat, not that he needed it.
Talking of injuries the Bears have also had to deal with several of their own as quarterback Jay Cutler is out of action for this game along with linebacker Lance Briggs. Add them to Henry Melton, Nate Collins and DJ Williams who are all out for the year.
Despite these setbacks the Bears have remained competitive and a win at Lambeau Field in this game will shake up the pot in the NFC North for sure. Look for running back Matt Forte to have a big game behind impressive rookie offensive lineman Kyle Long against a less than stable Packers defensive front.
The inactives have been revealed and we'll start with the home side.
PACKERS INACTIVES: Harper, Nixon, Matthews, Perry, Boyd, Wilson, Finley.
BEARS INACTIVES: Cutler, Briggs, Anderson, Brown, Scott, Washington, Minter.
A big boost for Rodgers as wide receiver James Jones is fit to return to action following an lay-off with a knee injury for the past two weeks. He will bolster a depleted receiving corps which is without Randall Cobb and Jermichael Finley.
The Packers are still without All-Pro linebacker Clay Matthews, who pass rushing skills will be a big miss along with second year defensive end Nick Perry. CJ Wilson is also absent on the defensive line.
In the absence of Cutler, Josh McCown will start in his place for the first time since 2011. The 34-year-old has thrown 38 career touchdowns but has thrown 44 interceptions as well in his 12-year career.
The Bears still have a good offense without Cutler as they will be lead by Forte on the ground. But in the air McCown will have the option of throwing to Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and tight end Martellus Bennet. All of whom have made plays for the club this season.
The Bears will kick off so Rodgers will get the ball first.
Gould kicks the ball out of the endzone and Rodgers will start at the 20.
Immediately the Bears are penalised as they give up 15 yards for a facemask penalty with defensive tackle Paea guilty.
Rodgers fakes the handoff and fires over the middle to Nelson and he runs with the ball across the field for 26 yards to move his side to the Chicago 27.
Lacy keeps the chains moving to shift his side to the Chicago 11 with a 16-yard run over the left-hand side of the line as he found a hole and drove right through it.
SACK! Rodgers goes down for the sack inside the redzone as McClellin brings him down for a three-yard loss. Worryingly for the Packers Rodgers looks hurt as he gets to his feet. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Crosby will attempt a 30-yard field goal to get them on the board.
FIELD GOAL GOOD!
Crosby fires his effort through the posts and gives his side the lead.
Hester returns the kickoff to the 29 where McCown will begin.
McCown throws on first down and he fires a strike over the right to Marshall who makes a good catch low at his feet to get the first down for his side with a 12-yard reception.
Another good throw by McCown as he fakes the handoff to Forte and fires the ball over the middle this for Marshall who makes the catch and races down the sideline before he's pushed out at the Green Bay 40 for a 19-yard gain.
BREAKING: Rodgers has headed inside to the locker room due to his apparent injury.
The Bears keep the chains moving with another good throw by McCown as he zips the ball out to Jeffrey on a wide receiver screen and he gets behind blocks from Bennett and Marshall to get 12 yards to move his side to the Green Bay 27.
TOUCHDOWN BEARS!
The Bears take the lead as McCown does brilliantly to evade the rush and throw the ball as he takes a hit as the Packers bring the blitz on third down. His throw is a good one as he finds Marshall on a fade route and he goes above Williams to bring it in for the 23-yard touchdown.
Gould kicks the ball out of the endzone. Wallace replacing Rodgers will begin at the 20.
The Packers still oick up the first down without Rodgers as Lacy powers through the line to get eight yards on second over the right-hand side.
Lacy does it again with another bruising run this time through the middle of the line and he shakes off several tacklers to get five more yards after initial contact for an 18-yard gain.
Lacy gets the yards he needs again with a four-yard carry to get his side another set of downs after Wallace completed his first pass of the game to White on a curl route for six yards down the right-hand sideline.
INTERCEPTION BEARS!
The effect of losing Rodgers strikes as Wallace throws an interception deep in Bears' territory as he looks to throw a quick slant but Peppers sticks out a hand and deflects the ball, it loops up in the air and he makes the grab and runs to the Packers' 45 before he's brought down.
The Bears go three and out as McCown is forced to scramble on third down as he can't find an open receiver and Jones gets the sack for the Packers as he taps when he's on the ground.
BLOCKED PUNT!
Lattimore bursts through the line and blocks the punt for Podlesh. The Bears scramble back for the ball and manage to gather it before a Packer can run it in for a touchdown. The Packers will get the ball at the Bears' 32.
TOUCHDOWN PACKERS!
The Packers take the lead as Wallace hands the ball off to Starks who bursts through the middle of the line and powers all the way into the endzone for a 32-yard score as Conte whiffed on the last-ditch tackle.
McCown will begin at his own 13 after Hester returns the ball for 14 yards.
The Bears move the chains as McCown fires two passes to Jeffrey for gains of 10 yards then 16 to move them out of the shadow of their own endzone. The 6ft 4in receiver muscled out the Williams to catch both passes with good strength.
Chicago's advance down the field is halted as Hyde breaks up a third down pass for Bennett forcing Podlesh to punt the ball away, this time he gets his kick off and Hyde returns the ball for no gain at his own 14.
END OF FIRST QUARTER: Chicago Bears 7-10 Green Bay Packers
Wallace can only move the ball eight yards on third down needing 11 to convert as he fires to his tight end Quarless over the middle of the field and he is hit immediately. Masthay punts to the 40 where Hester gathers for the Bears.
McCown gets good protection from a four-man rush from the Packers and he fires an underneath pass for Forte, who carries the ball through several tackles and he gets to the Packers' 25 for a 33-yard gain.
The Bears move within inches of the goalline as McCown fires over the middle to Bennett on a crossing route and he evades the tackle of Hawk to get down to one before he's brought down. He thinks he has the touchdown but he is just short of the line.
TOUCHDOWN BEARS!
The Bears get their touchdown anyway as McCown hands the ball off the Forte on a draw play and he goes over the goalline for the one-yard touchdown. An excellent drive for the visitors.
Hyde returns Gould's kick to the 27 where Wallace will begin. Rodgers has still not returned.
CONFIRMATION: Rodgers is out for the rest of the game. A massive blow for the Packers, they will have to hope that isn't serious.
Without Rodgers the Packers go three and out again as Wallace fires to Nelson on third down but he can only get eight yards as he's tackled straight away. Masthay's punt lands at the 13 where McCown will begin.
Forte gets seven yards on second down leaving McCown with third and four to convert but he can't do it as his pass over the middle to Marshall is broken up by Hayward. Podlesh's punt is collected at the 41.
Wallace fires deep downfield on second down and connects with Boykin for a huge gain to move his side into Chicago territory for a reception worth 15 yards on a post route.
Wallace thinks he and Green Bay have another set of downs as he evades the rush in the pocket and throws on the run to Quarless on the left-hand sideline for eight yards but the tight end juggles the ball as he catches it and the officials rule the pass incomplete. McCarthy doesn't challenge the decision when replays suggest that he may have won and kept the drive alive. Masthay punts the ball to one where the ball is downed.
McCown gets his side out of a real dangerzone as he throws the ball out of his own endzone to Marshall on the right-hand sideline on a corner route and he just gets enough on the throw to beat the defender and hit the receiver on the numbers for a 19-yard gain.
Forte's turn to keep the chains moving as he runs for eight tough yards through the middle of the line on first down and then comes right back through it on second with a bigger gain of 17 to shift his side to their 42.
The Packers bring the rush to try and get to McCown but he sits back in the pocket and drills the ball over the middle to Bush on a checkdown an he gets the first down with a 15-yard reception.
McCown drops back in the pocket again and drills the ball over the middle to Marshall for a gain of 14 yards to move the Bears to the Packers' 27.
McCown evades the rush on third down and he earns another set of downs for his side with a 20-yard run to move his side to the Packers' 6. He may have time for one more play.
McCown throws a fade route to Jeffrey which goes over his head and out bounds. That will bring Gould onto the field for a 24-yard field goal.

Gould knocks his effort through the posts and hands his side a seven-point lead.
HALF TIME: Chicago Bears 17-10 Green Bay Packers
Green Bay couldn't have wished for a worse half of football as they trail the Bears by seven points and have lost Rodgers for the game and potentially longer pending on the severity of his shoulder injury.
It has become the battle of the backup quarterbacks as Wallace goes up against McCown and it's the Bears QB who is winning at the moment with some impressive play. He has been supported well by Forte and the ground game while Marshall has made some crucial catches, including one for a touchdown.
Wallace needs help from his receivers and the ground game as the contributions from Lacy have dried up since Rodgers left the match, if the Packers are going to get back into this.
Hester returns the ball to the 21 where McCown will begin again.
The Bears start with a three and out as McCown's pass to Forte on third down falls incomplete with the Bears needing six yards for the conversion. Podlesh's punt is returned to the 43 by Hyde.
Lacy finds off a huge hole in the defense and bursts through it a a great turn of pace and evades a tackle and gets down to the three-yard line before he was brought down. That was a 56-yard rush by the former Alabama man.
TOUCHDOWN PACKERS!
Lacy powers into the endzone from three yards out behind the block of Kuhn to draw his side level in the game. An excellent series from the back.
ONSIDE KICK!
The Packers surprise the Bears with an onside kick and Hyde knocks the ball to Lattimore to gather the ball to give his side another possession immediately. A fantastic play by the home side.
Lacy shows patience on the first run of the drive as he waits for blockers to come and when they do he finds a crease in the middle of the defense and finds 12 yards before he's brought down.
The Packers move the chains again as Starks gets the hard yard right through the middle of the defense on third and one after Lacy had found three yards on first and Quarless had a reception for five on second.
Wallace gets a completion somehow as his pass is nearly intercepted by Anderson but the ball slips through is grasp and is caught by Jones who takes it to the five-yard line. He fumbles the ball but he manages to get right back on it to maintain possession.
The Packers can't punch the ball into the endzone as Starks is stopped on first and Wallace throws two incompletions on second and third looking for Nelson then Quarless with a fade. Crosby will attempt a 23-yard field goal.
FIELD GOAL GOOD!
Crosby kicks his effort through the posts and the Packers lead once again.
Hester returns the ball to the 19 where McCown will start the Bears' drive.
On third down and nine McCown delivers a perfect strike down field to Jeffrey who finds space down the right-hand side as creates enough separation to bring the ball down and find a yard before he gets tackled for a 15-yard reception.
The Bears' drive comes to an end as McCown tries to throw on the run but his pass to Forte falls just short of the back, which forces Podlesh to punt and his kick is downed at the Green Bay 18.
Green Bay respond with a three and out of their own as Wallace throws the ball behind Nelson and then is forced to scramble and throw out of bounds on third down. Masthay's punt is collected by Hester and returned to the Packers' 47.
McCown delivers on third down yet again for the Bears as he fires over to Marshall on an out route, who does well to make the catch and get his feet in bounds for the 12-yard reception.
McCown gets more yards as he throws the ball on an underneath route to Forte, who makes a move on his man to get the first down and a couple more yards on a 12-yard reception.
Forte runs the ball up the gut of the defense for five yards on first down and the gets the handoff on a draw on second and finds space over the right and turns on the jets to get 11 yards to move his side to the Packers' 6.
TOUCHDOWN BEARS!
The Bears regain the lead as Jeffrey makes an excellent catch over House on a fade route to haul in a six-yard strike from McCown. A brilliant throw and the big receiver went up and got the ball for the score.
Hyde returns the ball to the 17 where Wallace will begin.
Wallace gets the chains moving for his side as he finds Nelson over the middle on a crossing route and he makes a move on a tackler and gets 17 yards shifting his side to the 35.
Quarless gets a reception this time on an out route as Wallace hits him in stride and he moves the chains with a 12-yard reception.
END OF THIRD QUARTER: Chicago Bears 24-20 Green Bay Packers
The Packers' drive comes to a halt as Lacey gets five yards on first and second but on third Wallace's pass falls incomplete forcing Masthay to punt and his kick goes out of bounds at the 10.
Forte moves the chains as he gets the ball on a handoff on a stretch play to left and he finds space enough for the first down as he gets behind a block from Marshall to get 15 yards.
Williams nearly picks the ball off as McCown stares down Bennett on third down but he can't bring the ball in for the catch. That forces Podlesh back into action and his punt is caught for the fair catch by Hyde at the Packers' 34.
The Packers are handed a huge penalty as the Bears stack up Lacy for a loss on second down but Tillman is called for a facemask penalty on the running back, which moves the chains and hands the Packers 15 yards.
SACK! Wallace is brought down on third down and six by Peppers after McClellin flushed the quarterback out of the pocket and the Bears kill the drive forcing Masthay back into action, his punt is caught by Hester at his own 11-yard line.
Forte moves the chains immediately for his side as McCown hands the ball to him on a draw play and he finds space over the right-hand side and he picks up 13 yards with a dive before he's brought down.
McCown fires to Bennett on third down who beats the tackle of Hayward but is brought down just before the first down marker as the officials mark it fourth and inches. Decision time for Trestman and he decides to go for it.
Forte gets the first down for his side as he beats a tackle which would have dropped him for a loss but he managed to power through it to move the chains.
McCown is moving the chains for the Bears as a penalty set them back five yards but he found Forte over the middle for nine yards to make it third and five and on third he drilled a pass over the middle for Marshall on an incut and he made the catch.
Bush gets the carry subbing in for Forte and he powers through the middle of the line for nine yards on first and Forte comes back into the game to move the chains on second with a carry for one tough yard.
Forte gets a huge carry over the left-hand side of the line as McCown fakes a handoff to Jeffrey on an end-around and then he throws the ball out of the back of his hand on a toss play to Forte, who carves out an opening and gets the first down with a 15-yard run taking his side to the Green Bay 24.
On third and five at the Packers' 21 the Bears pick up a crucial third down as they may have won the game as Forte collects the ball on a toss play and gets the five yards he needs for a first down getting behind a block from Bushrod.
The Packers stop the clock for the first time as Bush gets three yards on the ground after the Bears will brought back for holding call on Bennett, which looked very dubious.
Four more yards from Bush setting up a third and 14 for the Bears at the Packers' 15. A first down here will end the game.
Bush gets the carry for six more yards and now Gould will have the opportunity to put the Bears up by seven points with a 27-yard field goal.
FIELD GOAL GOOD!
Gould knocks his kick through the posts and the Bears have a seven-point lead. The Packer need a touchdown to tie the game.
Wallace will start at the Green Bay 25.
Nelson collects Wallace's pass and he gets to the 40 for a 15-yard gain.
SACKS! Wooten and McClellin get to Wallace and bring him down for back-to-back sacks to end the game to secure the win for the Bears.
FULL TIME: Chicago Bears 27-20 Green Bay Packers
The Bears close the gap at the top of the NFC North as three teams now have the same record in the division, and the Bears have the tie break over the Packers and the Detroit Lions hold the tie break over the Bears. That means the Lions lead the NFC North.
Chicago will be buoyed by their win as McCown showed brilliant poise in the pocket in the battle of the backup quarterbacks. He showed Wallace how to do it with an assured performance to lead the Bears to victory at Lambeau Field for the first time in six years.
The Bears will go into their clash with the Lions at the weekend with Cutler fit again and their hopes of reaching the playoffs this season bolstered.
Green Bay will be far more concerned with the loss of Rodgers than their defeat in this game. Reports suggest he has a broken collarbone which could leave him out for six weeks. That could have a disastrous effect on their playoff hopes this season looking at the play of Wallace at Lambeau.
Running backs Lacy and Starks did all they could to get their win for their side but in the end their multiple injuries on offense and defense took their toll. An serious injury to Rodgers could just be too much for them to overcome.
