Jermichael Finley has undergone a spinal fusion surgery as he continues his recovery from a neck injury.
The Green Bay Packers tight end, who suffered a season-ending contusion to his neck last month, had the procedure on Thursday, tweeting yesterday morning that he is now "moving around like a beast".
NBC Sports reports that the operation has a three- to four-month recovery process, ensuring that Finley should be healthy by the time he becomes a free agent in March.
The 26-year-old's agent has said that the surgery is not 100% essential, but should reduce the risk of a similar injury occurring in the future.
