Four important field goals from Mason Crosby help the Green Bay Packers defeat the Seattle Seahawks 27-17 in the NFL, while Aaron Rodgers creates two touchdowns.

Mason Crosby kicked four crucial field goals as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 27-17 in the second round of the NFL.

The Packers made an impressive start to the match, and scored the game's first touchdown with 10:45 left to play in the first quarter, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers launched the ball towards James Jones, who had moved to the centre of the endzone.

Crosby converted, before the same man added another three points moments later, making a 54-yard field goal to give the Packers a 10-point lead.

Seattle managed to get points on the scoreboard in the first quarter, as Steven Hauschka produced a 54-yard field goal that was completed successfully with the help of the left upright.

After an exciting opening quarter, both sides struggled to take control of the second, but Green Bay looked to have scored a touchdown with just 13 seconds to go before half time as Rodgers found Randall Cobb in the endzone. The score was initially given, but after a review the touchdown was chalked off, with Cobb deemed to have a section of his body in touch.

The Packers did manage to add some points before the break though, as Crosby succeeded with a chip shot to give the Packers a 13-3 lead at half time.

Seattle came alive in the third quarter, as quarterback Russell Wilson found Fred Jackson in the endzone to score the Seahawks' first touchdown of the match. Hauschka converted, before Wilson found Doug Baldwin for the second touchdown of the quarter with 6:48 to play.

Hauschka's conversion gave Seattle a 17-13 lead, but a Crosby field goal from 44 yards cut the deficit to just one point.

In the final quarter, Green Bay responded well to going behind, as Aaron Rodgers found his namesake Richard Rodgers for the Packers' second touchdown. The same two players combined for a two-point conversion to give the Packers a seven-point lead, before Crosby scored a 21-yard field goal with 1:56 remaining to seal a 27-17 victory.
