The Atlanta Falcons score four first-half touchdowns to lead the Houston Texans 28-0 at the interval.

The Atlanta Falcons have put up 28 points in the first half as they lead a scoreless Houston Texans 28-0 at the Georgia Dome.

Houston started the game poorly, with quarterback Ryan Mallett throwing an early interception as his pass was tipped into the air and Jonathan Babineaux came down with the ball for Atlanta.

The Falcons would take advantage and gained the lead after Matt Ryan converted a third-and-long to Devonta Freeman before the running back ran the ball home a play later for a 16-yard touchdown.

At the start of the second quarter, the 23-year-old split the Texans defence wide open again to score a 23-yard rushing touchdown and cap off another strong Atlanta drive.

The Falcons would score yet again just two minutes later after Arian Foster fumbled the ball in his first game since returning from injury, and Desmond Trufant returned the ball to put his team up by 21 points.

Ryan would then have his first touchdown pass of the game just before the half, finding his tight end Leonard Hankerson for a quick three-yard score as the NFC South team look to win their fourth game in a row.

The Texans' newly-signed kicker Nick Novak would miss a field goal at the very end of the first half to compound a miserable two quarters for the away team.
