Former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah believes that the Houston Texans will likely select a quarterback with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
The Texans traded quarterback Matt Schaub to the Oakland Raiders and signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a low-money two-year deal to replace him.
However, Jeremiah has insisted that they will make a run at one of the top signal-callers in the Draft, including UCF Knights' Blake Bortles.
He told NFL Network: "That's a backup quarterback making backup money.
"You're still in the market for a starter. I think with that first-overall pick, Blake Bortles is very much in play."
The Texans finished with a 2-14 record in the 2013 season.
