Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach believes that the Houston Texans should use their number one overall pick on Johnny Manziel in the upcoming Draft.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach has urged the Houston Texans to use their number one overall pick in this year's Draft on Johnny Manziel.

Manziel has outlined his desire to be chosen first in the Draft, although he faces stiff competition from the likes of Jadeveon Clowney, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles, among others.

However, Staubach, who won two Super Bowls and was selected for six Pro Bowls in a Hall of Fame career, believes that Manziel will prove to be a major success in the NFL and could emulate Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.

"I think Manziel is a Russell Wilson-type player. He doesn't have the height, [but] he has a strong arm and he throws with accuracy," Staubach told NFL Network.

"I just think there's something about this kid - the quickness. Today in the league, the quarterbacks can fly; we weren't allowed to do that. I think Manziel is going to be a valuable player in the NFL."

This year's Draft will take place in New York City from May 8 to May 10.
