The Houston Texans move to 5-5 for the season courtesy of a 23-7 victory over the Cleveland Browns, ending the Browns' three-match winning streak in the process.

The Houston Texans have ended the Cleveland Browns' three-match winning streak with a 23-7 victory over the AFC North outfit this evening.

The Texans opened the scoring midway through the first quarter as JJ Watt popped up in the endzone to make a catch for his fourth touchdown of the season - the highest tally from a defensive lineman since 1948.

Cleveland hit back in the second when Andrew Hawkins collected a short Brian Hoyer pass before making his way across the line for a 32-yard score.

The visitors restored their advantage in the final minute of the first half, however, as Ryan Mallett fired a pass to Garrett Graham, who bounced off one tackle before completing the 20-yard touchdown.

Houston edged further ahead in the third quarter as Randy Bullock capped off a 60-yard drive downfield with a 46-yard kick to extend the gap to 10 points, before another kick in the fourth made it 20-7.

Bullock added his third field goal of the match to put the game beyond the Browns in the closing stages of the fourth quarter, opening up a 16-point gap with a 50-yard effort.

That was how it stayed as the Texans moved to 5-5 for the season, while the Browns drop to 6-4.
