Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Arthur Jones could reportedly be ruled out for the 2015 season as he requires surgery on his ankle.
The 29-year-old signed a lucrative deal with the Colts last season, but played just nine games for the club and struggled to make an impact for the AFC South side.
Jones has sustained torn ligaments in his ankle that require surgery to repair, which could rule him out for the entirety of the 2015 season, reports NFL Network.
The Colts are considering placing the defensive tackle on short-term injured reserve, which would allow him to return during the campaign, although season-ending injured reserve is also being discussed.
Jones recorded 23 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in the 2014 season.
