The Indianapolis Colts have announced that center Phil Costa has retired from the NFL.
The 26-year-old only joined the Colts last month during free agency, after he left the Dallas Cowboys following four years with the NFC East side.
"Phil feels it's in his best interest to retire from the game," Colts general manager Ryan Grigson told the club's official website. "We certainly understand and wish him nothing but the best."
Costa entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2010.
