Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton has admitted that he was shocked when he heard his side had traded for running back Trent Richardson.
The Colts sent their 2014 first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns to secure a move for the former Alabama man earlier this week.
Hamilton told reporters: "It was shocking that we would have a chance to acquire such a commodity. I think it's just awesome.
"It's an awesome deal for the Colts and the Colts fans to have an opportunity to have such a special young player on the roster now."
Indianapolis face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
