Indianapolis Colts linebacker and former Cleveland Browns star D'Qwell Jackson has insisted that wide receiver Josh Gordon 'needs help'.
The 23-year-old was arrested last week for a suspected DWI offence, and Jackson has come to his defence rather than criticise his attitude.
"If you're close to Josh Gordon please help this kid, it's not about football anymore it's about picking up the pieces of his life," he wrote on Twitter.
Gordon led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards but his reported problems with substance abuse continue to put his career under threat.
