The Indianapolis Colts earned their first win of the season as they cruised to a 44-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Colts started solidly on the offensive side of the ball as Andrew Luck used short passing routes to guide his side into the redzone, but they were forced to kick a field goal for their first score of the game from the boot of Adam Vinatieri.
On their second drive, Indianapolis found their rhythm in the passing game and their drive culminated in Luck throwing a short pass to Ahmad Bradshaw, who dived into the endzone.
The Colts extended their lead when Luck once again moved them inside the 20-yard line and this time he faked the handoff to Bradshaw and found Dwayne Allen in the flat, who went over for the score.
Vinatieri added two more field goals, and then Luck found tight end Coby Fleener just before the break with another touchdown from nine yards to all but end the game at the end of the second quarter.
In the second half, Jacksonville put rookie quarterback Blake Bortles into the game and he helped drive his side down the pitch for a field goal from the boot of Josh Scobee.
Indianapolis made sure of their win in the fourth quarter when Luck threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game as he found Hakeem Nicks in the endzone.
The Jaguars got their first touchdown of the game when Bortles drilled a pass to Allen Hurns over the middle and he broke two tackles on his way to scoring a 63-yard touchdown.
Indianapolis capitalised on a mistake from Bortles on the next series when he threw an interception to Greg Toler who returned the ball into the endzone for a score.
In the dying seconds the Jaguars added another consolation score when Bortles connected with Cecil Shorts for a 10-yard touchdown, but the Colts eased to their first win.
