Jacksonville Jaguars' Shad Khan has said that he leaves decisions regarding which players the team signs down to general manager David Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley.
The team's owner recently said that he was "intrigued" by reports linking the Jaguars to quarterback Tim Tebow, who is a free agent after being released by the New York Jets last month.
Khan told NFL.com: "My goal was to get the couple of key people, Dave Caldwell, Gus, in and really empower them to do the right thing.
"So I think there are over 3,000 now professional football players in the league. Who they decide to pick, they need to come up with the best players who's gonna put us in a position to win."
A petition asking President Barack Obama to convince Jacksonville to sign Tebow was removed from the White House's website earlier this week.
