The Kansas City Chiefs earned their second win of the 2015 season by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-13 in their NFL clash at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs went ahead on their first possession when they managed to move down the field and into the redzone before the visitors' defense made a stand to limit them to a 30-yard field goal from Cairo Santos.
Pittsburgh hit back with a score of their own when Landry Jones and Le'Veon Bell moved the offense into range of the goalline, but they were forced into a field goal from the boot of Chris Boswell from 24 yards.
Andy Reid's men restored their advantage when Santos notched his second field of the match, but only after his side were denied in the redzone for the second time by the Steelers' defense.
The Chiefs added another field goal through the boot of Santos, although they could have extended their lead further only for the kicker to miss an effort before the break.
In the second half, the home side took control of the match when Alex Smith completed a series of passes to shift his side to the goalline before Charcandrick West found the endzone from one yard.
The Steelers responded through Martavis Bryant as the wideout collected a looped pass from Jones at the back of the endzone for a 19-yard score.
Boswell kicked his side to within three points at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Chiefs ended the game when Smith fired to Chris Conley in the endzone to secure the win for the home side.
The win leaves the Chiefs 2-5 for their season, while the Steelers drop to 4-3.
