The Miami Dolphins have subjected the Oakland Raiders to four defeats from as many games in the NFL with a 38-14 victory, as London's Wembley Stadium played host to the sides' week four encounter this evening.
The Raiders made a rattling start to the encounter by pitching up just two yards short of the endzone from their first drive, with Derek Carr picking out Brian Leonhardt with a three-yarder, before Sebastian Janikowski kicked to make it 7-0.
Following eight plays, the Dolphins were presented with their first opportunity to score and they willingly obliged as Caleb Sturgis made an impressive 47-yard field goal to earn his side three points.
Ryan Tannehill pushed the Dolphins into a three-point lead when he picked out Mike Wallace from 13 yards, as Sturgis delivered from the spot to take the score to 10-7.
The lead was then extended in the second quarter thanks to some industrious play from Lamar Miller, who showed great ability to complete an eight-yard rush past the defense to make it 17-7.
Miami were not done yet despite playing away from home in colder climes, as they made it 24-7 when Tannehill produced an excellent 18-yard pass for Dion Sims to move into the endzone, leaving the Dolphins in a commanding position at the break in north London.
The Dolphins continued to dominate in the third quarter and they went further in front early on when Miller completed a one-yard rush, before the scores moved to 38-7 courtesy of Cortland Finnegan, who secured a 50-yard fumble return.
Despite a tattered display in England's capital, the Raiders did manage to pull some points back in the final quarter when Andre Holmes caught hold of an effective pass from Matt McGloin, leaving the final score at 38-14.
