Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has moved to clarify comments he made regarding his relief over not being drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
The Vikings traded back into the first round to take Bridgewater with the 32nd overall pick after the Browns decided to pass on him and drafted Johnny Manziel with the 22nd overall pick instead.
"I said it on the air, but like I say, it was misinterpreted. I think I was just saying I had a solid feeling about the Minnesota Vikings and that was it," ESPN quotes him as saying.
Browns coach Mike Pettine insisted last week that Manziel was the only rookie quarterback who had a realistic chance of starting this season, but Bridgewater is keen to ensure that isn't the case.
