The Minnesota Vikings have been handed a fitness boost after scans showed no serious damage to the knee of rookie defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd.
Floyd was injured in the second quarter of his side's 27-13 loss to the Houston Texans in their pre-season opener on Friday and did not take part in training yesterday as a precaution.
However, the 22-year-old was confident that the injury was not serious and now hopes to get back to playing as soon as the coaching staff allow him.
"No worries on my part. At the end of the day, it's [coach Leslie Frazier's] call, not mine," said Floyd.
"I knew it was OK right after it happened. I knew there was no problem."
Floyd was a first-round pick for the Vikings, being selected 23rd overall in this year's draft.
