Christian Ponder was forced out of the Minnesota Vikings' 34-27 win over the Washington Redskins last night with a dislocated shoulder.
The starting quarterback was replaced by Matt Cassel late in the third quarter after taking a hit while trying to reach for the endzone.
The 25-year-old has already indicated that he expects to be ready for the team's next game against the Seattle Seahawks next weekend, but will need to undergo further tests later today.
The Vikings remain bottom in the NFC North with a 2-7 record.
