The Minnesota Vikings have confirmed that they will look to use Joe Webb as a wide receiver in 2013.
The 26-year-old has been a backup quarterback with the team since being drafted in 2010.
Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier told The Star Tribune: "[Webb] is such a talented athlete that we want to make sure that we're doing the right thing by him and our team, as well. That's something we'll continue to discuss as we go forward."
Webb featured in just one game for the Vikings during the 2012 season after starting quarterback Christian Ponder sustained an elbow injury.
The Vikings recently signed former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel to be Ponder's backup.
