New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady praises his team's effort throughout the season as they book their place in the Super Bowl to take on the Seattle Seahawks.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has hailed his side's effort to reach the Super Bowl following their thumping win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game.

Bill Belichick's men booked their place in the match for the Vince Lombardi trophy with a 45-7 victory over the Colts as LeGarrette Blount powered his side to the win with 148 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Brady admitted that he was delighted with his and his teammates' displays over the season, and outlined his ambition to end the campaign in the perfect fashion by winning the club's fourth Super Bowl.

The 37-year-old told CBS: "Well, you know, obviously it's an unbelievable game today and my teammates, I couldn't be more proud of them. They put a lot of work in this year, worked our tails off to get to this point and it's nice to close the deal, baby.

"So, we've got one more to go. This is for you guys, our fans. Thanks for all your support. I know we've had some ups and downs this year, but right now we're up, baby, and we're going to try to stay up for one more game."

Brady will set an NFL record when he takes the field against the Seattle Seahawks in Glendale, boasting the most appearances ever by a quarterback in the Super Bowl with his sixth.
