Tom Brady has described Kenbrell Thompkins as an "impressive young player" after he scored his third touchdown of the season.
The rookie wide receiver hauled in an 18-yard pass from Brady in the fourth quarter of the New England Patriots' 30-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
The quarterback told the team's official website: "He's an impressive young player. It's really rare to see that with a young player, to step in with confidence like that he has.
"We're missing quite a few guys, so hopefully when we get them back, we'll be more efficient. We slugged it out. We came to Atlanta, which is a tough place to play and they've got a very good team. It's nice to win and be 4-0."
Thompkins joined the Patriots as an undrafted free agent during the off-season.
