New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft believes that his side have been "super special" this season to reach the AFC championship game.
Bill Belichick's team have endured a lot of adversity this year starting with the imprisonment of former tight end Aaron Hernandez and a spate of injuries that hit them on both sides of the ball, but they still have managed to equal their performance of last year.
"We've had some wonderful experiences and some wonderful teams, but this team really is super-special," Kraft told the Boston Globe.
"When you go through the locker room, you can get a feeling for the chemistry, how guys feel about one and another, the camaraderie."
The Patriots have won three Super Bowls under the ownership of Kraft, the last of those coming in the 2004 season.
