New England Patriots star LeGarrette Blount has reportedly failed a conditioning test to open training camp.
The issue has forced him to be put on the non-football injury list, and he will only be allowed to come off the list if he passes the test, according to The Boston Globe.
Blount finished last season as the primary runner on a Super Bowl championship team, but has struggled with motivation and off-field issues in the past.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers star now has a week to get into shape for the new season, although he has an extra week compared to his teammates given that he is suspended for the season opener.
