New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has admitted that his side will miss the presence of defensive tackle Vince Wilfork both on and off the field.
Wilfork was ruled out for the season after tearing his Achilles during the Patriots' 30-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday.
However, despite admitting that Wilfork's presence in the squad is "unmatched", Brady believes that his side need to find a way to replace the five-time Pro Bowler.
"Well, to say we'll miss him is an understatement. His presence in the locker room and on the field is really unmatched, so it will be a team effort," Brady told WestwoodOne Sports.
"I know coach Belichick said there's no Vince Wilforks on the street corner waiting to sign with the Patriots, which is the truth, but we're going to have to find a way to, in a group effort, replace such a valuable player."
The Patriots are currently on course for a fifth consecutive playoff appearance, having made a 4-0 start to the season.
