The New England Patriots maintain their unbeaten record as Tom Brady guides his side to a 30-23 comeback win over the New York Jets in their AFC East clash.

Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to lead the New England Patriots to a 30-23 victory over the New York Jets in their AFC East showdown.

The Patriots were handed the chance to take the lead when Ryan Fitzpatrick fumbled the ball under pressure from Chandler Jones, but the home side's offense were forced to settle for a field goal from Stephen Gostkowski.

New York came back with a field goal to level the scores on their next drive as Fitzpatrick moved them downfield, only to be held out of the endzone on the goalline. However, Nick Folk sent his kick through the posts from 20 yards.

The Jets took the lead when Fitzpatrick manoeuvred his side to the goalline once again, although a penalty moved them back four yards. However, on the next play the quarterback drilled the ball to Jeremy Kerley for a five-yard touchdown.

New England responded with a touchdown drive as Brady guided his side to the redzone. The Jets repelled them on third down, but the home side opted to go for in on fourth down. Brady leapt over his line to record the score.

The Patriots regained the lead when they moved into the redzone, although a sack from Calvin Pace restricted the hosts to a field goal through the boot of Gostkowski from 46 yards.

Bill Belichick's men spurned the chance to extend their advantage in the second half when Julian Edelman dropped a pass in the endzone, forcing the home side to settle for a field goal to put them six points ahead.

The Jets took the lead when Fitzpatrick engineered a drive to take the visitors into the redzone, and he then fired the ball to Chris Ivory in the flat and the back strolled in for the nine-yard touchdown.

A field goal from Folk extended their advantage, but Brady rallied his team with several short passes to Danny Amendola before he drilled the ball to the wideout in the endzone to put his side ahead once again.

The Patriots put the game beyond the reach of the Jets when Brady looped the ball to the uncovered Rob Gronkowski, who ran into the endzone for the touchdown.

The Jets gave themselves hope as Folk nailed a field goal from 55 yards and then delivered a perfect onside kick to set the visitors up at the 48-yard line with 15 seconds remaining. However, they then committed a penalty to end the match.

The result moves the Patriots to 6-0 in their season to put them at the top of the AFC East ahead of the 4-2 Jets.
