Rob Ryan has said that Keenan Lewis deserves a place in this season's Pro Bowl.
Fan voting is already open for the annual all-star game, while players and coaches will make their nominations before the players who will feature in the game are announced next Friday.
The New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator told reporters: "I certainly think so. I know you guys think so. I mean, when you see him play every week you know he is. Some of these guys might have four picks but you see them give up 16 touchdowns, but get voted into the Pro Bowl.
"This guy has earned that, and I think, I don't know how it is nowadays, AFC/NFC and my kids voting, I don't know. But I know who deserves it, and he's worked his tail off.
"What a leader he's been for us, and what a transaction. We picked him up out of all of these other people out there and, like I said, we knew we got the best defensive player that was available. We did."
The cornerback has made 41 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble for the NFC South side so far this season.
