The New York Jets hold a seven-point lead over the Miami Dolphins at half time in their AFC East clash, with the scores at 10-3 at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets started the game well on offense despite their struggles this season, as Chris Johnson reeled off a huge run through the middle of the line to take his side to the redzone. In the following play Greg Salas came on an end around and raced into the endzone for a 20-yard score.
Rex Ryan's side continued to have success in the ground game as they found holes in the Dolphins' defense, as this time Chris Ivory carried the bulk of the load. The visitors eventually made the stop, which forced Nick Folk to kick a 40-yard field goal.
The Jets managed to earn a defensive stand to halt the Dolphins' progress, and Geno Smith started to move his side downfield with his side's running game. Ivory and Johnson moved them into field-goal range again, but this time Folk missed from 48 yards.
Miami got on the scoreboard just before the end of the half when Ryan Tannehill led his side into scoring range, and Caleb Sturgis atoned for an earlier miss to fire a 43-yard field goal through the posts.
