The New York Jets met with Mark Sanchez's agent to discuss his future with the team at this weekend's Scouting Combine, according to a report.
The quarterback is due a $2m (£1.2m) roster bonus next month, but missed all of the 2013 with a shoulder injury, and briefly lost his starting job the year before, leading to speculation that he could be released ahead of the 2014 NFL season.
ESPNNewYork.com claims that the AFC East side met with the 27-year-old's representatives on Friday, and that no decisions were made over Sanchez's future, but that talks will continue.
Sanchez was a first-round Draft pick in 2009.
