New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has revealed that Geno Smith will still be his side's starting quarterback this week against the Oakland Raiders.
The rookie was benched in the second half of the Jets' defeat to the Miami Dolphins following a poor performance as his side failed to put up any points in the opening 30 minutes.
"I'm going to go with Geno as our quarterback," Ryan told the club's official website.
"I believe in Geno. I think he has the tools to be a good quarterback in this league."
The Jets are 5-7 in their season after week 13.
