Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen has confirmed that Matt McGloin will be afforded another opportunity to start as the team's quarterback.
The rookie led his side to victory in his debut against the Houston Texans last week before another decent showing in Sunday's narrow loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Despite defeat, Allen was pleased with McGloin's second performance in the absence of Terrelle Pryor, with the replacement recording a respectable 19 completions for 260 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.
Raiders site Silver and Black Pride quoted Allen as saying: "Yeah [he'll start again]. I thought Matt played well.
"For him to lead us back when we needed a touchdown. He got us the one we needed to give us the lead, we just couldn't hold it defensively. I thought Matt played well."
The Raiders are bottom of the AFC West with a 4-7 record.
