The Oakland Raiders have signed veteran quarterback Trent Edwards from free agency as they look to reshuffle their roster after a disappointing 2013 season.
Edwards, who was drafted into the NFL, joins Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin as the club's third quarterback, but the Raiders are still expected to do further business in the QB area.
The player was drafted into the NFL in 2007 and was previously part of the Raiders training squad in 2011 but was cut before the season began.
Edwards has 38 total appearances in the NFL.
