The Oakland Raiders have announced that cornerback Taiwan Jones has signed a new three-year deal to keep him at the club until the 2017 season.
The 25-year-old, who features as a core special teams player for the Raiders, had 13 tackles for Dennis Allen's side last season, and will now become one of the highest-paid special teamers in the NFL.
Jones told the club's official website: "It's a blessing. It's rare to see and to know that my local team wants me to stay home, and it's just a blessing.
"I'm glad to be part of it, happy to remain here and there are big things coming that I am happy to be part of it."
Jones was selected in the fourth round of the 2011 Draft by the Raiders.
