Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt Schaub has insisted that his side need to improve their execution before the start of the regular season.
The Raiders struggled in their pre-season defeat to the Green Bay Packers in the passing game as Schaub threw for just 110 yards and completed just 13 of his 27 passes.
"We better be close to getting ready for the regular season, obviously," Schaub told reporters.
"We got off to a good start, which is what we wanted to do — that was our plan. Then we sort of stubbed our toe. We just didn't execute. We need to be better than that."
Dennis Allen's side face the New York Jets in their opener on September 7.
