Oakland Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson has admitted that he will never get over his side's loss in the Divisional Round of the 2001 playoffs to the New England Patriots.

Bill Belichick's side won the game in controversial fashion, as Woodson hit quarterback Tom Brady causing him to lose the ball. However, the play was called back under the tuck rule allowing the Patriots to score to secure the victory.

Woodson told reporters: "None of us on that team I don't think will ever get over it. We feel like it was stolen. If you lose a game, you lose a game.

"You've got to deal with it. But when you feel like a game was stolen, that hurts because it's a missed opportunity and a chance to move on in those playoffs. It probably burns for everybody on that team."

Woodson rejoined the Raiders this summer after his contract at the Green Bay Packers was not renewed.
