Charles Woodson has re-signed with the Oakland Raiders following a seven-season stint with the Green Bay Packers.
The safety met with the team that drafted him in 1998 yesterday, before agreeing to a one-year contract with the AFC West side.
The 37-year-old told the team's website: "To drive up here today, to see all the fans out there yelling and excited to see me back, it means a lot. I'd heard that they were going to do it, but you really don't know if it's going to happen."
The 2009 defensive player of the year signed for the Packers in 2006 after seven years with Oakland, but was released by the Wisconsin side earlier this year.
