Cam Newton led the Carolina Panthers to their third straight win in the NFL with a 17-6 victory over the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders were without Carson Palmer for much of the game, after the starting quarterback was injured in the first quarter.
Newton and Steve Smith each found the end zone in the first half to give Carolina a comfortable lead at half-time.
A strong defensive performance from the Panthers prevented Oakland from creating scoring opportunities, only kicker Sebastian Janikowski adding points to the board.
Neither side was able to make the post-season ahead of the game.
