The Philadelphia Eagles have taken a comfortable 17-0 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL match against the Washington Redskins this evening.
The Eagles opened the scoring late in the first quarter when Nick Foles continued his fine form by rushing up the middle for a four-yard touchdown.
The hosts thought that they had extended their lead at the start of the second quarter when Brent Celek collected a short Foles pass before going on to complete a 43-yard score, but the play was reversed by the replay assistant.
They did get another touchdown shortly afterwards, however, as LeSean McCoy went over from a yard out.
Philadelphia then edged even further in front with a 24-yard field goal from Alex Henery and gave themselves a commanding lead at the half-time interval.
