Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Bill Davis believes that his side have set the standard for their performances this season with their shutout victory over the New York Giants.
The Eagles cruised to a comfortable 27-0 win at Lincoln Financial Field over their NFC East rivals, as Davis's defense produced eight quarterback sacks during the contest to stifle Eli Manning.
"A shutout, 27-0, that's rare," Davis told CSNPhilly.com. "I've only been a part of a couple shutouts in my career and that's 20-some years. It's neat we could do that.
"The guys know that the bar is set that high now. And we've got to strive for that. It was four quarters. That's what we put up today. It was four quarters of good ball, and that's what we hadn't done up to this time."
The Eagles are 5-1 in the NFC East following their victory over the Giants.
