Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly has reportedly been left excited by the progress that quarterback Tim Tebow has been making ahead of the new season.
Tebow's running skill and improvement in throwing the ball has impressed Kelly, making him valuable in the new two-point rule and in short-yardage situations, according to ESPN.
The signal-caller completed six of 12 passes for 69 yards in his Eagles debut on Sunday, while he carried the ball four times for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Tebow's ability to run the ball saves quarterback Sam Bradford, who has surgically repaired knees, from having to run which Kelly had been hoping to avoid.
