Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin has outlined his desire to remain with the club beyond the end of his current contract next week.
The 26-year-old is coming off the best year of his career, having surpassed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since entering the NFL in 2009.
Maclin's success would make him an appealing option on the free-agent market, but he has made his intentions clear that he wants to stay with the Eagles, pending the terms that are offered by the club.
"I've always said I want to be here in Philadelphia, but I've also always said I understand it's a business," Maclin told Philly.com.
"Both sides have made it known that we both want each other back, so the rest of it is in God's hands. If it's supposed to happen, it'll happen. I want to be here."
Maclin recorded 85 receptions for 1,318 yards along with 10 touchdowns last season.
