Ike Taylor has revealed that he plans to return from a fractured arm before the end of the 2014 NFL season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback sustained the injury during the team's 37-19 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, which also saw linebackers Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones pick up injuries.
The 34-year-old told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Ike will be back. Oh, yeah, I will be back. I can't let my teammates down.
"I tried to get my arm out of the way, but it was kind of too late. Right now, I am recovering and I feel good. We are going to see [Wednesday] the [exact] timetable when I am coming back, but right now I am just resting."
It is estimated that Taylor, who has undergone surgery to help repair the bone, will miss six to eight weeks.
