The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that they have placed linebacker LaMarr Woodley on their injured reserve list.
The 28-year-old sustained a calf injury in his side's win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the first quarter of the game and didn't return to the field.
Woodley had been struggling all year with the injury and missed three games as a result, but the latest setback proved to be too much for him and the Steelers chose to end his season by placing him on IR.
Pittsburgh signed linebacker Jamaal Westerman to replace Woodley on their roster.
