The Pittsburgh Steelers have confirmed that they have released punter Zoltan Mesko.
Mesko only joined the club in the first week of the season following his release by the New England Patriots and played in all seven of their games so far in the campaign.
However, following a string of sub-standard performances the 27-year-old was cut by Mike Tomlin.
The Steelers have replaced Mesko with former Dallas Cowboys punter Mat McBriar, who is expected to make his debut against the Patriots on Sunday.
