Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has revealed that he is hopeful of signing a new contract with the franchise this off-season.
The 11-year veteran was tied for the NFL lead with 4,952 passing yards and led the Steelers to an AFC North title before their loss to the Baltimore Ravens last weekend.
"I felt great all year [on his contract situation]," Roethlisberger told 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. "Hopefully it's sooner rather than later."
Roethlisberger is going into the final year of his current eight-year contract but the Steelers have previously hinted that they are keen to sign him to a new deal which allows him to finish his career in Pittsburgh.
