Norwich City will look to end a four-game winless run when they welcome Millwall to Carrow Road on Boxing Day.
Meanwhile, the Lions will be hoping to claim a second straight win after edging out Blackburn Rovers in their most recent outing.
Match preview
Norwich are still searching for their first win of December after taking just one point from four games since beating Luton Town at the end of November.
The Canaries followed that result with a 3-0 loss to QPR and a goalless draw against Portsmouth, before they gave up a slender lead to fall to a 2-1 defeat in their home meeting with Burnley.
They experienced a similar fate in their recent away clash against Sunderland, losing 2-1 despite taking the lead through Anis Ben Slimane's 21st-minute opener.
As a result of their poor form, Norwich are sitting in the bottom half of the table in 13th position - nine points away from the top six and eight points above the bottom three.
Norwich will now turn their focus to consecutive home games against Millwall and QPR, with the Canaries looking to showcase their firepower after scoring 26 goals in their 10 home league matches at Carrow Road this season - a return that has only been bettered by Leeds' 29-goal tally at Elland Road.
The Canaries can also take confidence from the fact they have won three of their last four matches against Millwall, including a 3-1 victory in their most recent home meeting in August 2023.
David Livermore is preparing for his second game as Millwall's interim boss after taking over the reins following Neil Harris's departure earlier this month.
Harris left his position after overseeing a six-game winless run, which was made up of three straight draws and three consecutive 1-0 defeats.
Millwall's winless run looked set to continue in Saturday's home clash with Blackburn Rovers until Mihailo Ivanovic netted a 96th-minute winner to snatch all three points and end their opponents' six-game winning streak.
After celebrating their first win since November 6, Millwall are now sitting in 10th place in the Championship table, with seven points separating them from the top six ahead of Thursday's away meeting with Norwich City.
The Lions will still be looking to offer an improvement in the final third after failing to score more than one goal in any of their previous 14 matches.
Having failed to win any of their previous 20 away league meetings with Norwich (D7, L13), the visitors will attempt to beat the Canaries in an away league match for the first time since they recorded a 3-0 victory back in November 1968.
Team News
Norwich boss Jess Thorup is unable to call upon their first-choice striker Josh Sargent, who has not played since the end of October due to a groin injury.
The Canaries are also without the services of Gabe Forsyth and Liam Gibbs due to knee and hamstring problems respectively.
Kenny McLean will serve the final game of a four-match suspension, while Jose Cordoba is banned for the Boxing Day clash after he was sent off for two bookable offences against Sunderland.
As for the visitors, they are having to cope without the injured quarter of Jake Cooper, Josh Coburn, Daniel Kelly and Calum Scanlon.
Defender Danny McNamara recently joined the absentee list after he sat out the 1-0 win over Blackburn with a knee injury.
Ivanovic is pushing to make his third Championship start of the season after coming off the bench to score the winning goal at the weekend.
Norwich City possible starting lineup:
Gunn; Stacey, Duffy, Doyle, Chrisene; Marcondes, Nunez, Slimane; Hernandez, Sainz, Crnac
Millwall possible starting lineup:
Jensen; Leonard, Tanganga, Wallace, Bryan; Saville, Norre; Azeez, Esse, Emakhu; Ivanovic
We say: Norwich City 2-1 Millwall
While Norwich are experiencing a difficult run of form, they tend to perform well in home games with Millwall, and we think they will do enough to claim a narrow victory to extend their unbeaten record head-to-head home meetings to 21 matches.
