The Oakland Raiders score three first-half touchdowns to open up a 30-6 lead over the San Diego Chargers.

The Oakland Raiders have opened up an emphatic 30-6 lead over the San Diego Chargers in the first half of their NFL game at the QualComm Stadium.

The Raiders opened the scoring on the first drive of the meeting as Derek Carr handed the ball off to Latavius Murray, leaving the running back to batter his way over from a yard out.

The Chargers could not respond on their first possession, allowing Sebastian Janikowski to extend their lead with a short field goal, before Josh Lambo got the home side off the mark.

Oakland were in the endzone again at the start of the second quarter as rookie tight end Clive Walford hauled in the first touchdown of his career, putting the visitors 14 points up.

Philip Rivers tried to get San Diego back into the game, but struggled to connect with his receivers, allowing DJ Hayden and Malcolm Smith to intercept the ball.

Carr used Amari Cooper to get the Raiders back into the Chargers' half again before half time, but they had to settle for two more field goals from Janikowski.

Things got worse for the Chargers before the break though as Cooper got the ball again, claiming a short catch from Carr before cutting outside to lose his marker, leaving him with an easy run for a 52-yard touchdown.
